Yves Sicard

Managing Partner

Yves has been a partner at Kairos Capital since its founding in 2020. After four years serving Quebec (2020-24), first as a special advisor in the office of former Minister Fitzgibbon and later at Investissement Québec, Yves returned to Kairos Capital in December 2024.

Yves brings to Kairos Capital and its portfolio companies a diverse experience acquired across multiple countries, industries, and contexts, including investment banking, large established corporations, tech start-ups, and government roles.

A lawyer and MBA graduate, Yves has built a strong background in transactional, operational, and financial expertise through his work in Montreal, Toronto, New York, Paris, and London. He has over 20 years of transactional experience as an investment banker and nearly 10 years of operational experience as an executive in high-growth companies.

Before founding Kairos Capital, Yves worked alongside several Kairos Capital partners in scaling Groupe Clairus, North America’s largest vertically integrated on-demand automotive glass company. As Vice President of Corporate Development, he was key in implementing a North American market consolidation strategy, backed by a U.S. private equity fund.

Previously, Yves advised Quebec-based entrepreneurs and SMEs on their growth initiatives, particularly international expansion, and was involved in negotiating mergers and acquisitions transactions.

He began his career as an investment banker in New York, working at Citigroup, Crédit Lyonnais, and Goldman Sachs in New York, Paris, and London.

Yves holds a law degree from McGill University and an MBA from Western University. He is a member of the Québec Bar.
